In 1979 the 98th Missile Brigade left the Army, while the 185th independent Missile Regiment and the 17th Missile Brigade were disbanded.

The 68th Missile Brigade was disbanded in 1980.

The 38th Missile Division left the Army in 1993, while the 14th Missile Division was added.

The 52nd Missile Division was disbanded in 2002, while the 14th Missile Division left for the 27th Guards Missile Army.

The 59th Missile Division was disbanded in 2005.
