Commanders:

Activated 6.60 in Bershet, Perm Oblast, as the 206th Missile Brigade, from the 98th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Division RVGK. Initially under the 24th Artilley Range Administration, but from 10.3.61 under the 5th Independent Missile Corps.

Initial organisation:

30.5.61 renamed 52nd Missile Division.

In March 1964 all R-16 battalions were upgraded to regiments:

In 8.65 the 734th Missile Regiment were transferred to Zhangiz Tobe, Semipalatinsk Oblast, under the 57th Missile Division.

1965 began conversion to the UR-100 (SS-11) missile.

From 8.6.70 attached to the 31st Missile Army.

Organisation 1972 (80 UR-100 silos, 10 R-16 pads and 3 R-16 silos):

The R-16 missile was phased out in 1976.

Organisation 1984 (60 UR-100K silos):

Two regiments were disbanded in 1989, while the division was converting to the RT-23 (SS-24) rail-based missile.

Organisation 1992 (50 UR-100K silos and 12 RT-23UTTKh rail-mobile launchers):

Organisation 2000:

Disbanded 2002.
