The units main tasks were missile/complex tests with the UR-200 launcher, and later orbital launches with the 8K67/8K69 (Tsiklon-2) launcher.
1966 transferred to the 5th Test Department.
1974 transferred to the 4th Test Department.
1987 transferred to the 7th Test Department.
12.89 transferred to the 2nd Center for Tests and Application of Space Means.
Disbanded 1.12.98.
