Activated 6.60 in Drovyanaya, Chitinskaya Oblast, under the 119th Missile Brigade, and from 5.61 the 4th Missile Division.

1963 with 3 battalions at three sites:

• 1st Battalion - BSP-11 with 3 R-16 silos - alert duty from 12.64 (estimate)

• 2nd Battalion - BSP-12 with 3 R-16 silos - alert duty from 12.64 (estimate)

• 3rd Battalion - BSP-13 with 2 R-16 pads - alert duty from 5.3.63

In March 1964 all battalions were upgraded to regiments:

• 1st Battalion became 000 Missile Regiment with 2 R-16 pads (BSP-13)

• 2nd Battalion became 775th Missile Regiment with 3 R-16 silos (BSP-11)

• 3rd Battalion became 720th Missile Regiment with 3 R-16 silos (BSP-12)

The regiment was left with no BSP sites, and would soon begin conversion to the UR-100 missile.

The regiment went on alert duty 12.66 with 10 UR-100 (SS-11) silos at site BRK-2.

Converted to the UR-100K in 1973 - alert duty from 12.73.

The regiment stood down in 1992, and began conversion to the RT-2PM (15P158) (SS-25) missile - alert duty from 28.12.94 with 9 missiles.

Disbanded 2002.
