The regiment stood down in 1969 (BSP-1 site to 617th Missile Regiment), and in 4.69 was transferred to Kartaly, Chelyabinsk Oblast, attached to the 59th Missile Division.
The regiment went on alert duty 20.1.72 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) missiles at site BRK-7.
The regiment stood down 15.12.78, began conversion to the R-36MUTTKh (SS-18 missile) - alert duty from 19.9.80.
Disbanded 2002.
