Activated 1.9.61 at Pruzhany, Brest Oblast, under the 31st Guards Missile Division, from the 163rd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.
11.62(?) transferred to Zasimovichi, Brest Oblast.
The regiment consisted of two battalions with each 4 R-12 (SS-4) pads.
The first battalion went on alert duty 1.1.62 (four R-12 pads), and the second battalion went on alert duty 1.1.62 (three R-12 pads) and 10.1.62 (the last R-12 pad).
The battalions stood down 20.2.84, and in 1985 the regiment was transferred to the 49th Guards Missile Division.
The regiment went on alert duty 24.5.85 with 9 RSD-10 Pioner-K (15P645K) (SS-20) missiles (the missiles came from the 8th Missile Division).
10.85 reduced to two battalions, now with 6 RSD-10 Pioner-K (15P645K) (SS-20) missiles.
The regiment stood down 1990, and began conversion to the RT-2PM (15P158) (SS-25) missile - alert duty from 1991 with 9 missiles.
The regiment stood down 1993, and the missiles were transferred to another regiment in Russia.
Disbanded 1993.
