Activated 1.9.61 at Taybola, Murmansk Oblast, under the 40th Missile Division.

Organisation:

A third battalion with 3 R-14U silos never became operational, and the launch site was abandoned while under construction in 1964.

The battalions stood down 15.2.84, and 28.8.84 the regiment moved to Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Kray, now attached to the 23rd Guards Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 24.12.84 with 9 RSD-10 Pioner-UTTKh (15P653) (SS-20) missiles.

The regiment stood down 1.10.88, and began conversion to the RT-2PM (SS-25) missile - went on alert duty 12.10.91 with 9 missiles.

The regiment stood down in mid-2006, and was disbanded 1.12.06.
