81st Missile Regiment

Activated 1.6.61 in Anastasyevka, Khabarovsk Kray, under the 60th Missile Division.

The regiment consisted of two battalions with each 4 R-12 (SS-4) pads.

The first battalion went on alert duty 15.1.62 (four R-12 pads), followed by the second battalion in late 1962 (four R-12 pads).

When the 60th Missile Division moved to Tatischevo, Saratov Oblast, in 1964, the regiment became independent under the 9th independent Missile Corps.

From 6.70 under the 53rd Missile Army.

The battalions stood down in 1970, and the regiment was disbanded September 1970.

US designation 1961-1970: Anastasyevka MRBM complex (Anastasyevka launch site 1 & 2). Type II (pad) site.
