The regiment controlled site BSP-3 with 2 R-16 (SS-7) pads - alert duty from 10.1.62.

The regiment stood down in 1969 (BSP-3 site to 617th Missile Regiment), and was transferred to Dombarovskiy, Orenburg Oblast, attached to the 13th Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 29.1.71 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) missiles in area BRK-10.

The regiment stood down in 1979, and began conversion to the R-36MUTTKh (SS-18 missile) - alert duty from 31.10.80.

The regiment stood down in 1990, and began conversion to the R-36M2 - alert duty from 4.2.92.
