Activated 3.64 in Kozelsk, Kaluga Oblast, under the 28th Guards Missile Division.

1965 transferred to Dombarovskiy, Orenburg Oblast, under the 13th Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 3.12.66 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) missiles at site BRK-2.

The regiment stood down in 1974, and began conversion to the R-36M (SS-18 missile) - alert duty from 4.12.75.

The regiment stood down in 1987, and began conversion to the R-36M2 - alert duty from 30.7.88.
