Activated 1.9.61 at Kingisepp (Kaskolovka), Leningrad Oblast, under the 40th Missile Division.
The regiment consisted of two battalions with each 4 R-12 (SS-4) pads, and a battalion with 4 R-12 silos.
The first battalion went on alert duty 10.9.62 (four R-12 pads), the second battalion 15.2.63 (four R-12 pads) and the third battalion 12.2.64 (four R-12 silos).
The first battalion stood down 25.2.78 (four R-12 pads), while the two other battalions stood down 10.5.82 (four R-12 pads and four R-12 silos).
The regiment was disbanded in 1983.
US designation: Moloskovitsy MRBM complex (Moloskovitsy 1 and 2, and Gurlevo launch site). Type II (pad) and IV (silo) sites.

Two alternative fixed field sites for the pad launchers, were set up at Kotly (Kotly 1: 59 37 58N, 28 41 41E and Kotly 2: 59 39 12N, 28 36 09E), but had become inactive by 1967.
