Activated 1966 in Kozelsk, Kaluga Oblast, under the 28th Guards Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 3.12.68 with 10 UR-100 (SS-11) silos at site BRK-5.

The regiment stood down in 1976, and converted to the UR-100N (SS-19) missile - alert duty from 1977.

The regiment stood down in 1983, and converted to the UR-100NU (SS-19) missile - alert duty from 1984.

Disbanded 1.12.08.
