Activated 3.64 in Bershet, Perm Oblast, under the 52nd Missile Division.
The regiment controlled site BSP-12 with 2 R-16 pads.
In 1969 the BSP-12 site was transferred to the 589th Missile Regiment.
The regiment began conversion to the UR-100 (SS-11) missile in 1969, and went on alert duty 6.3.70 at site BRK-7 with 10 silos.
The regiment stood down in 1976, and began conversion to the UR-100K missile - alert duty from 1976.
Disbanded 1.9.93.
