Activated 1.8.83 at Kolomiya, Ivano-Frankovsk Oblast, under the 44th Missile Division, from parts of the 40th Missile Regiment.

26.12.83 transferred to Glukhov, Sumy Oblast, and came under the 43rd Guards Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 27.11.84 with 9 RSD-10 Pioner-UTTKh (15P653) (SS-20) missiles.

1988 converted to the RSD-10 Pioner (15V236) Perimetr system.

The regiment stood down 30.12.89 and was disbanded 1990.
