Activated 1960 in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Kray, as the 360th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, from the 50th Fighter Aviation Regiment PVO.

Initially with 3 S-75 (SA-2) battalions, with an additional 6 S-125 (SA-3) battalions activated in 1967.

1968 renamed 80th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.

Organisation 1960's:

During 1970 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 2 launch S-200 (SA-5) battalions were added to the brigade:

After 1992 converted to the S-300PS/PM (SA-10) missile:

1994 reduced to the 1537th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.

Organisation 2009:

2012 converted to the S-400 (SA-21) missile.
