Activated 10.7.64 in Yoshkar-Ola, Mariyskaya ASSR, under the 14th Missile Division.

The regiment controlled the BSP-16 site with 2 R-16 pads (alert duty from 13.12.63).

In 1968 the BSP-16 sites were transferred to the 690th Missile Regiment.

The regiment went on alert duty 6.4.71 with 10 RT-2 (SS-13) silos in area BRK-3.

The regiment stood down 1978, and converted to the RT-2P missile - alert duty from 17.10.78.

The regiment stood down 1992, and began conversion to the RT-2PM (15P158) (SS-25) missile - alert duty from 12.95 with 9 missiles.

Disbanded 12.03.
