Activated 24.7.60 in Sretensk, Chitinskaya Oblast (activation completed 1.12.60), under the 119th Missile Brigade, and from 5.61 the 4th Missile Division.

1962 transferred to Domna, Chitinskaya Oblast.

1963 with 3 battalions at three sites:

In March 1964 all battalions were upgraded to regiments:

1.12.66 the BSP-31 site was transferred to the 720th Missile Regiment, and began conversion to the UR-100 (SS-11) missile.

The regiment went on alert duty 27.12.66 with 10 UR-100 (SS-11) silos in area BRK-2.

The regiment went off alert duty 2.4.73, and converted to the UR-100K - alert duty from 16.8.73.

From 25.10.91 continued on alert duty, but with the warheads now removed from the missiles.

The regiment stood down in 5.2.94, and began conversion to the RT-2PM (15P158) (SS-25) missile (missiles from the 376th Guards Missile Regiment) - alert duty from 28.12.94 with 9 missiles (limited alert duty from 6.12.94).

The regiment went off alert duty 4.8.2002, and was disbanded 1.12.2002.
