The three battalions were transferred to the 48th Missile Brigade in 1965, and the regiment was disbanded.
Re-activated 1966 in Kartaly, Chelyabinsk Oblast, under the 59th Missile Division.
The regiment went on alert duty 19.8.67 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) missiles in area BRK-3.
The regiment stood down 5.2.74, and began conversion to the R-36M (SS-18 missile) - alert duty from 14.10.77.
The regiment stood down 1981, and began conversion to the R-36MUTTKh (SS-18 missile) - alert duty from 1981.
