Activated 1960 in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, as the 807th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.

Initially with 4 S-75 (SA-2) battalions, while five additional S-125 (SA-3) battalions were activated from 1961.

Organisation 1960's:

During 1967 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 3 launch S-200 (SA-5) battalions were added to the brigade:

1968 renamed 146th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.

During February/March 1980 one of the battalions became the first unit outside Moscow to convert to the S-300 (SA-10) missile - most likely the battalion at 64 38 51N, 39 50 01E:

1988 with 5 S-300PT/PS (SA-10), 4 S-125 (SA-3) and 3 S-200 (SA-5) battalions.

1994 renamed 1528th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.

1997 inherited the order of the Red Star from the disbanded 366th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
