Some aircraft were deployed to Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam [12 00 12N, 109 13 10E] during the 1970's.

1972 renamed 318th independent Long-Range Anti-Submarine Aviation Regiment.

15.10.95 renamed 318th independent Anti-Submarine Aviation Squadron.

1.9.96 renamed 318th independent Mixed Aviation Regiment.

Disbanded 1.8.2009.
