19.2.62 the 653rd independent Missile Battalion and the 152nd independent Equipment Maintenance and Recovery Battalion was activated.

In 1968 the 145th independent Sapper Battalion was renamed 145th independent Engineer-Sapper Battalion.

In 1972 the 400th independent Chemical Defence Company was renamed 000 independent Chemical Defence Battalion.

In 1980 the 50th independent Motor Transport Battalion was renamed 911th independent Material Supply Battalion, and the 411th independent Reactive Artillery Battery was absorbed by the Artillery Regiment.

In 1985 the 000 independent Chemical Defence Battalion was renamed 492nd independent Chemical Defence Company.

In 9.87 the 653rd independent Missile Battalion was absorbed by the 442nd Missile Brigade.

Organisation 1988:

In 7.89 the 322nd Motorised Rifle Regiment was transferred to the 48th Motorised Rifle Division, and was replaced by the new 752nd Motorised Rifle Regiment.

In 3.97 the 77th Guards Heavy Tank Regiment and the 1047th Artillery Regiment were transferred to the 1174th Weapons and Equipment Storage Base, and was replaced by the 245th Guards Motorised Rifle Regiment and the 99th Guards Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment.

1.7.97 renamed 3rd Motorised Rifle Division.

From 9.1999 to 12.1999 the 245th Guards Motorised Rifle Regiment, the 752nd Motorised Rifle Regiment and the 99th Guards Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment was deployed to Mozdok, for operations in Chechnya. The 752nd Motorised Rifle Regiment left Khankale in May 2000.

2009 renamed 9th independent Motorised Rifle Brigade.
