Reorganised as a schwere Abteilung in late 1942:

4./gem.306 became 4./988, and was reformed
5./gem.306 became 4./238

5. - 8./s.306 was formed in early 1943.

In 12.44 3./s.306 became 6./Flak-Regiment 31.
