Flak-Brigade XVIII



Formed 27.1.43 in Nimes (initially also known as Flak-Brigade z.b.V.), and in Summer 1943 became 18. Flak-Brigade.

Organisation 1.11.43:

Moved to Cambrai in 11.43, now with (1.1.44) [reported in Lille 2.44]:

Stab/Flak-Regiment 155 (W) left the brigade in 1.44.

Organisation 1.3.44 (duties included defending the V-weapon sites in the area):

Stab/Flak-Regiment 87 (v) joined the brigade in 3.44, replacing Flakgruppe Somme, which was disbanded.

Stab/Flak-Regiment 656 (v) became Stab/Flak-Regiment 117 (v) in 5.44.

Organisation 1.7.44 and 1.10.44:

9.44 in Hertogenbosch, Doetinchen and Arnhem, 1.11.44 at Sonsbeck, now with:

Stab/Flak-Regiment 100 (Mönchen-Gladbach) and Stab/Flak-Regiment 124 (Kempen) was attached to the brigade in 1945.

2.45 in Achterluk (Holland), later Münster and Oldenburg, and ended the war in Cuxhaven.
