Formed 1940 as the Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Abteilung under 7. Flieger-Division.

In May 1943 redesignated Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Abteilung 1 (using only Stab, 3. and 4. coys).

In 1944 the unit was divided into 2 independent companies, Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Kompanie 11 and 12.
