Activated 6.60 in Kostroma, Kostroma Oblast, under the 165th Missile Brigade, and from 5.61 the 10th Guards Missile Division.
13.6.61 transferred to Plesetsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, and came under the 3rd Artilley Range Administration.

From 30.4.64 under the 1st Department, and from early 1968 the 5th Test Department.
The regiment stood down in 1969 and on 26.7.69 was transferred to Teykovo, Ivanovo Oblast (54th Guards Missile Division).
18.7.71 transferred to Pervomaysk, Nikolayev Oblast, under the 46th Rocket Division.
Began conversion to the UR-100 (SS-11) missile - alert duty from 1973 at site BRK-10 with 10 UR-100U silos.
Converted to the the UR-100N (SS-19) missile 1977 and the UR-100NU (SS-19 mod. 3) in 1982.
The regiment stood down 1996, and was disbanded 1998.
