Activated 1965 in Tatischevo, Saratov Oblast, under the 60th Missile Division.

The regiment went on alert duty 12.66 with 10 UR-100 (SS-11) silos at site BRK-1.

The regiment stood down 1975, and began conversion to the UR-100N (SS-19) missile - alert duty from 18.12.76.

Converted to the UR-100NU (SS-19) missile in 1984.

The regiment stood down 3.9.03, and began conversion to the RT-2PM2 Topol-M2 (SS-27) missile - alert duty from 24.12.05 with 6 silos.

It was planned to fully equip the regiment with 10 silos before 2010.
