Activated 1.7.60 in Yurya, Kirov Oblast, under the 25th Missile Brigade, and from 5.61 the 8th Missile Division.
1963 with 3 battalions at three sites:
site BSP-18 with 2 R-16 pads - alert duty from 31.10.62
site BSP-15 with 3 R-16 silos - alert duty from 24.2.64
site BSP-17 with 2 R-16 pads - alert duty from 29.2.64
In March 1964 all battalions were upgraded to regiments:
BSP-18 remained as 131st Missile Regiment with 2 R-16 pads
BSP-15 became 776th Guards Missile Regiment with 3 R-16 silos
BSP-17 became 700th Missile Regiment with 2 R-16 pads
In 1968 the regiment stood down, and the BSP-18 site was transferred to the 776th Guards Missile Regiment.
1969 transferred to Kostroma, Kostroma Oblast, under the 10th Guards Missile Division.
1970 transferred to Uzhur, Krasnoyarsk Kray, under the 62nd Missile Division.
The regiment went on alert duty 16.11.71 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) missiles at site BRK-10.
The regiment stood down 1979, and began conversion to the R-36MUTTKh (SS-18) missile - alert duty from 21.11.80.
Disbanded 1.12.09.
