In 1969 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 3 launch S-200 (SA-5) battalions were added to the regiment [US designation: SAM site A28-5 - operational 1972]:

1.83 part of the unit was used to activate the 231st Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment for duty in Syria.

1.11.93 reduced to a mobilisation (cadre) regiment - the personnel was demobilised, and the equipment withdrawn to a central storage base.

1.9.97 transferred to Funkovo, Moscow Oblast, and was absorbed by the 625th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
