Activated 14.6.57 in Fanipol, Minsk Oblast, as the 1148th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, from the 97th independent Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion.

First S-75 (SA-2) delivered by the end of 1958 - initially with 7 S-75 (SA-2) battalions, followed by an additional 6 S-125 (SA-3) battalions in 1967.

1.68 renamed 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.

Organisation 1960's:

During 1968-1969 an independent Anti-Aircraft Missile Group with 3 launch S-200 (from 1971 S-200V) (SA-5) battalions were added to the brigade (operational 1969):

1970's to 1985 equipped with 3 S-200V (SA-5), 7 S-75 (SA-2) and 6 S-125 (SA-3) battalions.

1985 began conversion to the S-300PS/PT-1 (SA-10) missile - four battalions with S-300PT-1 was activated in 1985, followed by five battalions with S-300PS in 1986/87.

In 1986 one S-200V battalion was disbanded.

1991 with 2 S-200V (SA-5) and 9 S-300PS/PT-1 (SA-10) battalions - all other battalions had been disbanded.

Taken over by Belarus 6.92.
