Nanuchka II class

Several sources claim that the Nanuchka II class was built at the Rybinsk SSZ, but the vessels were definitely built at Primorskiy SSZ (today Almaz Shipyard in St. Petersburg), as can be seen on the Almaz website.

Ships:

Uragan - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 65 - laid down 31.5.74 - launched 16.4.76 - completed 30.9.76; 12.76 accepted into the Baltic Fleet; 31.8.77 transferred to the Indian Navy as "Vijay Durg" (K-71); 30.9.2002 decommissioned, and sold for scrapping

Priboy - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 66 - laid down 22.1.75 - launched 2.10.76 - completed 18.2.77; 5.77 accepted into the Baltic Fleet; 6.10.77 transferred to the Indian Navy as "Sindhu Durg" (K-72); 24.9.2004 decommissioned, and sold for scrapping

Priliv - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 67 - laid down 23.6.75 - launched 14.4.77 - completed 20.9.77; 6.10.77 transferred to the Indian Navy as "Hos Durg" (K-72); 5.6.99 decommissioned, and sold for scrapping

MRK-21 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 201 - laid down 10.3.78 - launched 28.8.79 - completed 31.12.79; 1.80 accepted into the Baltic Fleet, but excluded again 22.2.80; 4.8.80 transferred to the Algerian Navy as "Rais Hamidou"; still in service

MRK-23 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 202 - laid down 17.8.78 - launched 31.7.80 - completed 31.10.80; 12.80 accepted into the Baltic Fleet; 21.5.81 transferred to the Algerian Navy as "Salah Rais"; 1999 to 2000 modified at Almaz, St. Petersburg to Project 1234EM - the 4 R-15M (SS-N-2) were replaced by 16 Uran-E (SS-N-25) missiles; still in service

MRK-9 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 203 - laid down 21.4.79 - launched 10.1.81 - completed 26.5.81; 7.81 accepted into the Baltic Fleet; 1.5.82 transferred to the Libyan Navy as "Ean Mara"; 25.3.86 severely damaged during the raid by US carrier-based aircraft on Tripoli; 1987 to 1991 repaired at Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad; 1991 returned to service, and renamed "Tariq Ibn Ziyad"; still in service

MRK-22 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 204 - laid down 4.4.80 - launched 13.8.81 - completed 30.11.81; 1.82 accepted into the Baltic Fleet, but excluded again 8.2.82; 5.8.82 transferred to the Algerian Navy as "Rais Ali"; 5.97 to 11.98 repairs and modernisation at KMOLZ, Kronshtadt; still in service

MRK-24 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 205 - laid down 20.2.81 - launched 26.3.82 - completed 31.5.82; 7.82 accepted into the Baltic Fleet, but excluded again 19.1.83; 2.83 transferred to the Libyan Navy as "Ean Al Gazala"; still in service

MRK-25 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 206 - laid down 27.5.81 - launched 21.7.82 - completed 31.5.83; 7.83 accepted into the Baltic Fleet; 15.3.84 transferred to the Libyan Navy as "Ean Zara"; still in service

MRK-15 - Primorskiy SSZ, Leningrad - serial no. 207 - laid down 25.3.83 - launched 31.3.84 - completed 10.9.84; 11.84 accepted into the Baltic Fleet, but excluded again 8.1.85; 9.85 transferred to the Libyan Navy as "Ean Zaquit"; 25.3.86 sunk by US carrier-based aircraft 20 miles west of Benghazi
