1.10.65 three additional Border Guard Detachment were activated:

15.6.67 the 14th independent Border Guard Troop Commander was renamed 131st Border Guard Detachment.

In 10.67 the 29th Border Guard Detachment was transferred to the Transbaykal Border District.

1.8.68 the 132nd Border Guard Detachment was activated in Chundzha, Alma-Ata Oblast.

In 1968 the 134th Border Guard Detachment was activated in Kurchum, Vostochno-Kazakhstanskaya Oblast.

In 1969 the 3rd independent Aviation Squadron was renamed 10th independent Aviation Regiment.

During 1970 the 13th Training Detachment and the 14th Interdistrict NCO Communications School was activated.

In the autumn of 1973 the 35th Border Guard Detachment was included from the Central Asian Border District.

In 1978 the 22nd independent Aviation Squadron was activated in Uch-Aral, Taldy-Kurgan Oblast.
