All three were transferred to Cuba by ship from Liepaya and Kronshtadt in juli and august 1962, and were later (8.9.62) renamed 74th, 106th and 43rd independent Motorised Rifle Regiments.

In 1968 the 75th independent Guards Sapper Battalion was renamed 75th independent Guards Engineer-Sapper Battalion.
